Today, Fairmont Century Plaza continues that historic legacy with live performances throughout the property. From Jazz Nights to DJ Sessions, there’s always live music just around the corner.

Meet ShanLynn, the internationally acclaimed DJ, Composer, and Producer hailing from the vibrant city of Los Angeles, with roots tracing back to Austin, Texas. Renowned for her open-format style and a penchant for eclectic genres such as Balearic house, chill-out, electronica, indie dance, neo-soul, funk, nu-disco, house, classic rock, and old-school hip-hop. She loves giving Top 40 a new outlook by mixing remixes and mashups so the sound is familiar, but giving it a fresh take.

Yayennings is a 4-time GRAMMY® award-winning trumpeter. Known for his work with the award-winning band Snarky Puppy, Yayennings is based in Los Angeles and leads his own project, The Yayennings Quartet. The quartet consists of Bob Reynolds (Snarky Puppy, John Mayer), Jose Perez (Poncho Sanchez) and Ross Schodek (Poncho Sanchez). Together, they add a modern twist to the 1950’s West Coast bebop sound, inspired by the music of Chet Baker and Stan Getz. All compositions in the quartet’s catalog are written and arranged by Yayennings.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Brandon’s deep love for music was instilled from a young age, surrounded by a spiritually rich and musically inclined family. By the age of 19, Brandon had already made his mark, playing bass on the Academy Award-winning song It’s Hard Out Here For a Pimp from the film Hustle and Flow. His talent and versatility have led him to work with an array of renowned artists, including Stevie Wonder, The Jacksons, Smokey Robinson, Isaac Hayes, The Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Fergie, Three 6 Mafia, PJ Morton, Chrisette Michele, Jessica Simpson, Leona Lewis, and many more. As his musical career flourished, so did his calling into ministry. Known as “Pastor Funk,” Brandon seamlessly blends his love for spirituality with his passion for music, aiming to inspire and uplift others through his unique sound.

Ty (Tyrone) Taylor began singing at age five at St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Montclair, New Jersey. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Carnegie Mellon, Ty pursued additional ambitions. Enter Elektra recording artists Dakota Moon for his first recording contract. They hit the road with the likes of Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Eric Clapton, and early Destiny’s Child. It was in this acoustic, soul-rock, chart-topping band that Ty launched into songwriting. This led to the next band, Ghost Hounds, a bluesy rock outfit produced by Nile Rodgers.

All this and more led him to his current and most recognized post as lead singer of the critically acclaimed soulful blues-rock band Vintage Trouble. Four albums in, these guys have toured across 30 countries and played over 3,000 shows. Adryon de León

Adryon de León, born and raised in the tiny artist’s village of Ojai, CA cut her teeth in a Baptist congregation. Over formative years, musical theater infused de León’s life resulting in a unique theatrical, gritty, and soulful sound. Currently, she is a featured principal vocalist/performer for the Disneyland Resort, has performed background vocals for Macy Gray, Patti Austin, The Growlers, and George Clinton. In 2013, she joined the acclaimed Los Angeles-based soul & funk group Orgone. Orgone’s release, Reasons, features tracks spotlighting de León in a main writing and collaborative role.

In June 2023, Adryon joined Idina Menzel as a supporting background vocalist at Pride events around the world. And in January 2024, she performed as a hand-picked vocalist at the Emmys Governor’s Galas, for winners and nominees alike.
