Our History
Century City was conceived as “a city within a city” with the arc-shaped, 19-story, 750-room Minoru Yamasaki-designed Century Plaza as its centerpiece. Designed and marketed as the “World’s Most Beautiful Hotel,” the hotel was known at the time for its many modern features. From hosting the Dinner of the Century and our days being referred to as the “Western White House,” from Emmy and Grammy Awards to high-profile celebrity performances and recordings, get to know our start-studded past.
