Bring the glitz and glamour to your living room with these 6 Tips on How to Throw the Ultimate (Last Minute) Grammys Viewing Party.

And the Grammy goes to….

Are you thinking of hosting a (socially distanced) Grammys viewing party this year with your select social bubble? Our Director of Events, Duane Mah has all the tips to help you throw a last minute Grammys viewing party this Sunday! You can still host a fabulous night and win the award for the best party host. Bring the glitz and glamour to your living room with these 6 Tips on How to Throw the Ultimate (Last Minute) Grammys Viewing Party

1. Have guests dress as their favorite performers

Who doesn’t love a good costume/theme party? This is the time to bring out the extensions, lashes, and suits. Encourage your guests to either show up in a J.Lo-esque gown or just wear their most elegant ensembles. It isn’t every day we get to get decked out in our best, so encourage your guests to go all out!

2. Setup a red carpet selfie station

What would the Grammys be without the red carpet, the paparazzi, and the atmosphere of celebrity? Get yourself a roll of red carpet and a glitzy backdrop, and pose with your friends in front of all the hungry paparazzi (or, more realistically, indulge in taking as many selfies as you wish). Or you can also get yourself a cute Instax camera that will help you create perfect souvenirs of the night.

3. Light hors d’oeuvres and award show cocktails

You don’t have to go crazy when it comes to providing food. Easy appetizers such as pigs in a blanket, shrimp cocktails, pizza bagels and a bountiful charcuterie spread are always party favorites. Or if you waited until the super last minute and don’t have time to run to the store, you can always order in. Get some pizzas, Chinese food, or whatever you and your guests are in the mood for delivered to your door.

As for drinks a bottle of champagne (or two) is a perfect pairing for an awards viewing party. Toast the winners with your friends and it’s also fun to serve drinks named in honor of award show staples, such as The Red Carpet Cocktail.

4. Print out the list of nominations and have friends choose the winners

Watching the Grammys doesn’t have to be your only entertainment for the night. You can print out the nominee ballot and have guests fill out who they think will win for each category. Whoever guesses the most winners can get–that’s right–a Grammy.

5. Create a music inspired menu

To make the night go multi-platinum plan to serve food and beverages you can name after all kinds of industry legends. Watermelon Sugar (Harry Style) Dessert or Fleetwood Mac n’ Cheese anyone?

6. Have a Grammys After Party

The music at your Grammys party matters. This is a Grammys viewing party after all! So create a Spotify list with your favorite songs of 2020 and celebrate the victory of your favorite artist by dancing to his/her/their latest hit and dance the night away.
